Vacation was wonderful. Can I go back now?

Because coming home was apparently the very wrong thing to do based on the number of things that have gone awry.

Vacation was awesome. Crystal Blue Carribean seas, blue skies and bright shining sun (yes. there is sunburn.). And the food. Oh Gods! The food, more specifically the deserts. Rich, gooey, delicious. And Chocolate.

If I had a dollar for every calorie I shoveled into my mouth on vacation, I would have more than enough cash to buy a new computer. Probably two, because the warm chocolate melting cake was just that fucking good. The home computer crashed yesterday, which makes buying a new one, or fixing the old one a necessity.

It just up and keeled over dead. I could hear the death wail from my office.

The only thing working right now is a blinking amber light. The amber light that flashes warning signs at me from the place where the glowing steady green light should be telling me all is well and in working order. But it is not.

Dell technical support was pretty helpful in telling me that it could be the power source, or it could be the mother board. But not which of those situations I was facing with any certainty. The price tag on these two possible scenarios are very different however, so I'm hoping for the power source.

So, I can't load the pictures to show you all how beautiful the water was in the wonderful places we visited. Or tell about the girl my 14 year old son met on the ship and how they had a love affair of their own. And that is one sweet little story that will have to wait until we have a WORKING computer again.

Or tell about the horseback riding in the waters of Grand Turk with my daughter. Beyond AWESOME.

Or how horrible the ships infirmary handled the 5 inch gash Ace got on his hand from the exposed steel border in the lounge reserved for the 12-14 set. THAT is quite the story actually.

Nor can I express my absolute excitement about how the water heater popped its cork the day we got back and flooded my laundry room.

Or whine too much about the damn germs we brought back from our Island hopping cruise, causing a mucous overload in my head that may smother me.

I can't even express the thoughts and feelings I have about both kids stepping up into new schools and growing up before my eyes as they take these next steps. Oh, there are so many things bouncing around in my head and heart.

Vacation, overall, was pretty damn super.
It's the coming home that will be the death of me.
