Birthday cards were purchased. Oh YES! indeed they were.
Carefully considered, read and deemed appropriately obnoxious enough with the proper balance of sentimentality embraced by snark. Something about getting older and gas, I believe.

Can those birthday cards be found at the moment? No, no no no...they cannot.
I should pause here and let everyone know it is not only Birthday cards that get misplaced but presents as well. My nephew's birthday present is still in the back of my car and his birthday was in May.
Today is my friend Mary's Birthday.
I could lay on the mush here and tell the entire internet how wonderful she is, how generous of heart she is, and how fortunate I am to have her as a friend. But that kind of sugar might make our teeth fall out of our heads this early in the morning. And we can't have that.

This is such a sweet post. Belated happy birthday to your friend Mary. Lots of people are lucky to have friends like that. I cannot imagine my life without my great friends. We are really blessed. Thank you for sharing this.
