Textures and colors fascinate me, especially the au natural variety. Whenever I'm out with camera in hand, my eye is drawn to the flower's, the landscape, the tree's. It's probably my antisocial tendencies but I don't focus much on people, unless they are my own. Eavesdropping on people, well that's a whole different sport that provides endless hours of entertainment and probably a topic for another post.
On a recent meander through Allaire State Park, I came across this interesting tree. The differences in the bark texture, the wood grain, the colors of the woods meant I snapped about 40 pictures. When I finally culled the poorly focused, the bad angles and the miserably compositioned, I found something very neat in the patterns. Maybe I'm just hallucinating, but when you get to the last photo, let me know what you see.
Cheers!
