Sunday was cold here in NJ. Matter of fact, it's still a bit nipply outside. Break out the wool sweaters!
Anyway, I was driving home from a baby shower the sun was teasing the horizon amid the remaining clouds from the earlier snowfall as the day drifted into sunset. The colors were brilliant. Purple clouds backlit by shining gold from the brilliant carnelian sun. A haze of coral hovered among the clouds, giving it a true Maxfield Parrish feel. Sun streaks danced in and out of the darker lavendar colored clouds and stretched across the sky.
Along one stretch of the highway, this incredible painting of nature caught my breath and my fascination such that I pulled over and just absorbed the colors and light. It was truly spectacular.
I lamented my failure in keeping my camera with me, but sometimes I think moments are meant to be personal and special. This was a moment in time I needed to just stop, look at what was in front of me if I took the time to appreciate it.
But really, I wish I had a picture to share.
