Today was a work from home day. I did start the day with the very best of intentions, including getting up early to be on time to work because it is summer vacation and it's only me to get ready and out the door. And that is when everything went to shit. Quite literally. Some nasty bug has attacked my intestinal tract and is on a Godzilla like rampage, I swear it as every thing inside wants OUT. NOW. Now being all day. I did try to get to the office and that's when Godzilla and Mothra started duking it out and I had to turn back. I have managed to get some work done in between visits to the bathroom. And now aren't you really glad you checked in today?
Since it is summer vacation the kids were home as well. They do make for good company when I'm not feeling all that well and they can get me things, like a drink because the kitchen is too far away and the remote control, so I can stop watching Spongebob Squarepants. Who I wish Godzilla would visit for a while. They can also bicker and whine, because it is summer vacation and apparently there are not nearly enough things to keep them occupied and off of each other's nerves. So in addition to trying to rid Godzilla from my stomach, parental threatening was on today's agenda. Sometimes the office is less stressful.
