Condi vs. Kathy, a sad commentary

So I read an article today that stated Condoleezza Rice reportedly scored a three book deal for 2.5 million dollars. On a similar note, Kathy Griffin also reportedly scored a one book deal for 2 million.

Now, it's pretty difficult for me to reconcile that Kathy Griffin's one book memoir is worth almost the same as Condi's memoirs and a personal view of her time in the White House, working for maybe the worst President ever. And while that latter association just might be the reason for the similarity in payment, I find it hard to accept this sad commentary on what the publishing world believes is worth more.

I'm not a fan of her politics, but Condoleezza Rice certainly has had more influence in the shape of our world than Kathy Griffin's nose job.

And for the love of all things holy, why do I even know about the nose job?

Gah.
